MasterWeigh

Masterweigh is designed to supervise the preparation of manually weighed ingredients prior to automatic production. It ensures weighing accuracy, it is simple and easy to use and all operations are logged.

Masterweigh comprises of a PC operator station linked to one or two platform scales to suit the application, see examples to the right.

Operation of Masterweigh is designed to be very simple and normal operation can be performed with a single confirmation button. A full or reduced keyboard is provided for less frequent and management tasks. The operation is outlined below:-

A production schedule is entered or transferred from a networked system e.g. the AutoPilot4Feed main control system. Masterweigh displays the production schedule as below. The operator may select any production line to start weighing.

When a line is selected the weighing page will be displayed with the list of materials to be weighed and their set and actual weights. A sample screen is shown below.

The operator may select any material in the list for weighing. A barcode reader may be used to automatically identify the material to be weighed. As weight is added the colour coded bar on the left hand side will increase. A yellow tolerance box denotes the required weight to give a clear indication of how much more material to add. When the weight is in tolerance the confirmation button may be pressed to proceed to the next material.

Once all materials are weighed the batch details will logged for future reference and reporting. Optionally, a barcode ticket may be printed to attach to the container. This can be used at a later stage in the process to check the correct ingredients are being tipped with the main part of the batch.

Materials may be weighed on a material by material or batch by batch basis. Full material lot traceability can be included if required.

Where two scales are attached the operator will be guided which one to use based on inclusion levels to achieve better accuracy across a wide range of weights.
