Training
DSL Systems provide a comprehensive range of training courses.
These courses enable users to make the most of their DSL control
systems and to have more control over their environment. Courses
can be customised to your needs and held at DSL's offices or on
site. PCs are provided for trainees with full simulation of their
plant so that training is both relevant and realistic. Typically,
courses cover the following areas:
Operator training
A 2 day course on general operation. The course is fully
hands-on at a suitable pace for operators.
Advanced Blending & Pellet Press Control
A 2 day course which covers blending and press control in more
detail aimed at supervisors and experienced operators. This
includes tuning, maintenance, calibration and fault finding.
Maintenance engineers
Maintenance / electrical engineers often find facilities in
AutoPilot4Feed useful for fault finding. This 1 day training course
gives guidance on how to do this and how to tune and calibrate the
system.
Mill Managers
This 1 day seminar is designed to give mill managers and
production planners an overview of product set-up, managment
informantion, reports, cross contamination, substitutions and other
AutoPilot4Feed options.
Configuration engineers
A 2 week practical course which covers all aspects of DSL's
control systems. At the end of the course, attendees will be able
to configure most types of plant.
Crystal Reports
A 2 day course on creating and modifying Crystal
Reports.

Product Support
All DSL's Control systems come with 12 months warranty after
installation. After this period, formal support contracts are
available with 24 hour, 7 day software support. Support is provided
over the phone and by connecting remotely to the control system via
a secure internet connection.
For out of office hours support, customers are provided with a
support line number which is manned 24 hours a day. The operator
will connect you to an available engineer, normally one familiar
with your plant. DSL have a number of engineers with the capability
to connect to customers from home.
DSL have experience of a number of remote control software
packages which may be installed to suit a customer's IT policy /
preferences. These include Team Viewer, Ultra VNC, pcAnywhere,
Cisco VPN or RAdmin.
To cover for hardware breakdown, most sites have a suitable
level of spares and we will always recommend that sites have a
working standby PC.
